Piepenmoker Workshop
The following are a few pictures of my workshop where I make all my pipes. The first step is to cut the raw block of briar wood with a band saw into the approximate shape of the pipe.
In the second step the block is clamped into a woodturning lathe and given a shape that is a little closer to the final product.
The third step is to use the grinding disk to put the blank piece into its final shape.
The final steps of the wood working take place at the workbench. Using a Dremel and sandpaper the pipe shape receives its final touch. Afterwards the pipe is stained and waxed.
After the bowl is finished a suitable stem is selected and fitted.
